The project involves two bridges located on the five priority road networks of the Sustainable Highlands Regional Core Road Project (SHRCRNP) in Papua New Guinea Country, which are important bridges connecting rural areas to the Highlands Highway. However, the current bridges have been damaged by natural disasters and ageing and require repair or reconstruction.

This plan aims to maintain and strengthen the firefighting system by upgrading the ageing firefighting vehicles deployed in the three governorates of Jenin, Tulkarem and Ramallah, which are among the 12 governorates in the West Bank with the highest number of fires and rescue calls.

The project aims to improve farmers' access to mechanised services and increase rice productivity and quality by equipping them with agricultural machinery for cultivating and harvesting rice in the rice-producing regions of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, mainly in the main rice-growing regions of Béryé, Béké and Yamoussoukro Special Administrative Regions, contribute to the promotion of sustainable economic growth in Côte d'Ivoire.

Timor-Leste is mountainous and has steep terrain all the way to the coast, and urban areas are located on narrow plains between the mountains and the coast, so landslides and flooding are frequent. The lack of emergency disaster response equipment such as water tanks, generators, toilets and disaster prevention warehouses has resulted in a fragile operational system.

In Timor-Leste, intensive and intermittent heavy rains across the country in the early hours of 4 April 2021 caused significant damage to infrastructure in the capital Dili, including roads and bridges, river revetments and water supply facilities, while damage to agricultural infrastructure due to flooding was reported in rural areas. In addition, 14 000 people were temporarily displaced in the capital city of Dili, which has also contributed to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

This is a follow-up project to the road rehabilitation and Asin Praso Bridge replacement between Asin Praso and Bekwai (59.9 km), which was completed in December 2013.
A database was created to integrate the 3D model of the Asin Praso bridge, design drawings and record data for the repairs so that they can be managed centrally.

The project dispatches experts in each of the above-mentioned fields, and aims to transfer technology to improve road maintenance and management capacity, design traffic safety measures and plan appropriate measures for slope failure protection.

Our consultants are introducing ‘preventive maintenance’ to road maintenance management, working on extending the service life of roads, and reviewing road maintenance planning and maintenance management processes.

We continue to improve the use of parametric design (Revit) and visual programming tools (Dynamo) so that drawings of bracket sections that need to be addressed on a site-by-site basis can be created automatically from the calculations. Furthermore, a programme to utilise the information from the 3D models created in between to pick up quantities, order materials and make estimates is under consideration.
