Outline:

In Moldova, located in Eastern Europe, firefighting vehicles are used not only for firefighting but also for emergency rescue purposes in the event of natural disasters such as floods. Although the number of fires in the country is not high in absolute terms, it is larger than in other countries, and the country is vulnerable to natural disasters such as floods and landslides. There is a shortage of fire-fighting vehicles capable of responding to these disasters, and many of the existing vehicles are made in the former Soviet Union and are ageing, so there is an urgent need to renew the fire-fighting fleet and improve the fire-fighting system. Under this plan, the implementing agency, the Agency for Civil Protection and Emergency Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova, will be equipped with Japanese-made fire pump vehicles (9 units in total: 3,000L, 4,000L and 10,000L) and ladder trucks (10 units in total: 30m class and 50m class), with the aim of strengthening the country's fire-fighting and rescue systems and ensuring and improving local safety and security. The objective is to ensure and improve local safety and security.
