Country: Japan

Client: Embassy of  France in Japan

Period:  August 2023 to Now

Outline:

The Embassy of France in Japan was built in 1936 and underwent major renovation work in 2002. The project aimed to repair the deteriorated parts of the building after almost 20 years and to improve the energy efficiency of the building, a challenging task that had to be achieved while meeting the requirements of a registered cultural monument. A 3D model created by Sketch Up was used to analyze the energy-saving performance and to check the design before and after the renovation.
