Outline:
The Matadi Bridge Road Improvement Programme aims to stabilise and maintain the domestic transport route connecting Kinshasa, the second most populous metropolitan area in sub-Saharan Africa, with the outer port at the Matadi Bridge, a key logistics hub in the country. In order to strengthen the connectivity of the DRC and contribute to sustainable economic growth, urgent repairs, such as the replacement of the pavement on the bridge face and the mounting road, have been carried out.
