Outline:
Maintenance of pavements and unpaved roads on secondary and tertiary roads is an issue in the Solomon Islands. To solve this problem, technical cooperation is being implemented for the deployment and dissemination of the 'Interlocking Block Pavement (ILBP)' technology, including local block manufacturing trials, implementation of pilot projects in the capital and remote islands, and development of an implementation system with local institutions.
